What Christmas List collects, what it does with it, and what it doesn't.

No accounts

You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or payment details. We don't save your chat history on our servers or link it to you.

What you type

The messages you send are passed to an AI provider (Anthropic) so it can write gift recommendations, under that provider's API terms. Please don't include personal or sensitive details about yourself or other people. You don't need to: “a gift for my mom who loves gardening” is plenty.

Ads and measurement

If you arrive from an ad, standard click identifiers (such as Google's gclid or Meta's fbclid) are kept in your browser for the session and added to the links to partner shops. Ad platforms and affiliate networks use them to measure which ads lead to purchases. We may also use analytics and advertising pixels (such as the Meta Pixel or Google tag) to count visits and clicks on gift links. We don't send what you typed to these tools.

Partner shops

When you click a gift link you leave Christmas List, and the shop's own privacy policy applies. Shops and affiliate networks may use their own cookies to credit a purchase. That credit is how we earn a commission, as explained on the disclosure page.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time, and Christmas List will still work. We don't sell your personal information.
